In 2017 ann American horror film written and directed by Jordan Peele called "Get Out" was released. It stars Daniel Kaluuya as Chris Washington, a young black photographer who is reluctant as he prepares to meet the family of his white girlfriend. Upon arrival Chris witnesses strange behavior from the estate's black housekeeper Georgina and groundskeeper Walter. Chris meets another black man, Logan King, who behaves strangely and is married to a much older white woman. Chris tries to photograph Logan inconspicuously, but when his flash goes off, Logan becomes hysterical, shouting at Chris to "GET OUT". Chris convinces his girlfriend that they should leave. But when he tried to leave the house, the girlfriend and her family blocked him as they were trying to put him in a sunken place, just as they have done with all the other black people that have come on the estate grounds. Chris had to fight extremely hard, nearly losing his life to "GET OUT".
